Enterprise Europe Network - St. Petersburg center is operated by St. Petersburg Foundation for SME Development since 2008. The center is financed by the Government of Russian Federation - Ministry of economic development and Government of St. Petersburg - Committee for economic development industrial policy and trade.

Enterprise Europe Network - St. Petersburg center is subnetwork member of the Enterprise Europe Network Russia (Module A) at the Russian Agency for Small and Medium Business Support within the consortium Gate2RuBIN.

Mission and objectives

The mission of the EEN St. Petersburg is to provide information and advisory support and assistance to SMEs in Russia and in EU countries seeking to establish and develop mutually beneficial business cooperation.

The main objectives of the Centre are:

  • To disseminate information about the EU, its goals and objectives, EU legislation, current policies and development strategy;
  • To render assistance in the establishment of business links between Russian and European SMEs and promotion of Russian SMEs in the European market;
  • To provide information concerning the EU and Russia market requirements and opportunities;
  • To make available various business data in accordance with the enquiries from EU and Russian companies;
  • To facilitate the access of Russian SMEs to relevant information regarding the enterprise support programmes and projects funded by the European Union.

One of the objectives of the EU long-term programme for enterprise and entrepreneurship is "to give business easier access to Community support services, programmes and networks and to improve the coordination of these facilities".
